“The Contenders” Boxers & Boarding Kennels   Stud Service Agreement

Thank you for expressing an interest in using Max Rebo in your breeding program. Following you will find my policies concerning stud services to outside bitches. The stud’s owner must approve bitches before being accepted for breeding. Before a commitment is made, please consider the following.

Prior to an agreement to breed:                                                                                                                            You will provide: a photocopy of your bitch’s AKC Registration, AKC DNA Certification, AKC five-generation Certified or Research Pedigree and a recent photograph or videotape of the bitch.                                                                                                                                                                                 All proposed bitches must meet the following criteria:  The bitch must be in good physical condition.  The bitch must have a stable temperament.                                                                                                                       My responsibilities to you include:  My stud dog is guaranteed to be in the same good health as required of the bitch (Health/Vaccination Certificate will be provided).  I will provide a copy of our stud’s AKC Registration, a five-generation pedigree and an AKC DNA Certification as shown on website The Contenders Boxers & Boarding Kennels.

Following an agreement to breed:                                                                                                                              It is agreed that you:  Will provide a Veterinary Certification on your Veterinarians letterhead or USDA/State Health Certificate of a negative Brucella titer, a negative aerobic vaginal culture taken with guarded culture instrument and current vaccinations dated no more than 30 days before the mating including a photocopy of all lab reports for our records.  You will pay all transportation costs for the bitch as/if needed, airport pick up and delivery fees from/to Springfield or Decatur, IL Airport as follows:  $45.00/45.00. (To be paid before the bitch is shipped).  You will pay all veterinary costs at the time of service, if veterinary care is needed while the bitch is in our care.  Pay all expenses if using fresh chilled semen including collection kits, semen collection, shipping charges, etc.   The bitches owner must be willing and able to provide care for the litter and agree that puppies resulting from this breeding shall not knowingly be sold either directly, or to an agent thereof, who sells outright or consigns to a pet shop, kennel, or individual whose purpose is mass production, wholesaling, or retailing of purebred dogs.  Bitches must be in good health, at least 18 months of age and under 8 years of age.  If the owner of the bitch does not provide food, a boarding fee of $5.00 per day will be charged.   Owner of the bitch hereby agrees to furnish owner of stud with color photos of all surviving pups in the litter.  Owner of bitch hereby agrees that owner of stud will not be held liable for any sickness, injury, accident, or death of said bitch while under the care of the owner of the stud.  If the bitch changes ownership while in whelp, all terms of this contract remain in force, and this contract is to be given to and explained to the new owners.
Owner of stud agrees:  To sign the litter registration form at the time the mating is completed and the stud fees and any other expenses are paid in full.  If first pick of litter is offered as payment the owner of the bitch and the owner of the stud will sign an AKC litter application at the time of mating to be left with and completed by the stud owner and mailed to AKC after the litter is whelped and pictures/descriptions of the puppies and applicable fees are received.  The owner of the stud agrees to make the first pick no later than 3 weeks after the litter is whelped.
 

Stud Service Policy
The stud fee for Max Rebo is $550.00.  Two or more live saleable colored puppies, constitutes a litter.  If the bitch does not whelp two or more live puppies, a return service will be given the same bitch at the next season without an additional fee providing your Veterinarian Certifies on his letterhead by his signature that no litter was whelped at the bitches prior season.  After the return service, if required, and no puppies are whelped a full refund will be given if your bitch has a successful breeding by another stud the following season. AKC DNA Litter Parentage Certification will be required for a refund.  Any other conditions/agreements will be noted and initialed by both parties on the back of this document.  It is preferred that puppies whose white markings exceed the 1/3rd limitation (but are not all-white), as stated by the AKC Boxer Breed standard, be registered as LIMITED and spay/neuter contracts be used.  The litter breeder also agrees to sell puppies resulting from this breeding with a sales contract indicating that, if for any reason a purchaser of a puppy can no longer keep the puppy, the litter breeder requires the return of the puppy to them to be resold to a suitable home.  The owner of the bitch warrants that said bitch has not been exposed to any stud dog prior to her arrival and that he/she will protect her from exposure upon her return home. A litter is not eligible for AKC Registration if the serviced bitch is serviced by a second male during this heat cycle, nor is the owner of the bitch entitled to a free repeat breeding.

Any amendments or additions to this contract will be detailed on the reverse of this page and will be initialed by both stud and bitch owner(s).

STUD FEE of $550.00 is payable at the time of this service unless first pick of the litter is offered as set forth in the contract.  This fee is refundable only if all conditions as set forth in the contract are satisfied.                                   Paid in full?
